Lord of the Rings Cards
\\ PLAYING CARDS
A set of playing cards was designed based on the renowned book series The Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien. Four main characters were chosen and illustrated for the face cards. Each suit employs a different colour scheme, evident in the change of colour of the clothing and items of the characters.
As a typical set of cards, the designs were mirrored vertically with a subtle line texture. To further the concept, the number cards were stylized to match the style of the face cards, with unique suit icons in the centre representing the number of each card. Throughout the deck, the back side depicts the “One Ring” and its iconic inscription.
